Hands off the wheel
Lord please help me,
I don’t know where to go
(Hands off the wheel, I’ll take you there)
And Lord I don’t know what to do
Or how to fix it
(Hands off the wheel, Em, I’m in control)
But Lord it’s so bad and
I’ve tried everything I can
(Hands off the wheel honey, it’s my turn now)
Dear Lord, I’m giving it over now
Tell me what to do
(Hands of the wheel now, and I will carry you)
These are the prayers and answers I have heard repeatedly over the last few weeks. I have walked through the worst days of my life, but my feet never felt the ground. I have walked on the prayers of the many who cared enough for me to beseach the Lord to carry me. Standing here, in the eye of the storm, I do not feel the wind or the rain, because my God covers me. He is Elohim, my Adonai, El Shaddai, my strength, and my deliverer. May you find in Him the rest and peace that have covered me these dark days, and may He be the bright light to you that you have so graciously shown to me. Whatever road you may travel, by all means, let Him have the wheel. He has a perfect record!
Seasons Move On
Golden sun rising high
Flames lick the morning sky
Swirling cinders floating down
Foliage decays on the ground
Winters frost soon to chill
Icy drafts through windows sill
Springtime birds gone to fly
Never time enough to bide
Five thirty in the evening dim
The world has turned to dark again
Cold winds come with rain and blow
And kiss away our autumns glow

Elections
I HATE!!! election times. Grown men and women become kindergarteners again. Didn’t we learn in grade school not to tattle? We should give them green, yellow, and red clothespins like the little kids in class get. And if they get on the red pin that’s it, they’re out.
I think we as Americans should change the job description that these jerks are applying for. In fact, aren’t they essentially applying for a job in which we, the people, are their bosses? Instead of them trying to sway us to their party line, shouldn’t we be forcing the line with them? There ought to be a law that requires every man and woman campaigning for an office to state what their qualifications are, what their experience is and what specifically they can actually do inside the parameters of that job and nothing more. Immediate disqualification if you don’t stay inside those guidelines. Don’t give me a bunch of rigamorale and hot air promises that you can’t actually deliver on, and don’t tell me what your opponent is doing wrong. When’s the last time you went to an interview and said, “Well, you should choose me for the job becasue Bill over there isn’t getting things done, and Lisa is always late, and Shirley loads paper in the printer wrong.”? No, you tell them what you can do, why you can do it, and give proof that you can and will get it done. ARRRGGGGGG!!!! I really really hate elections!!
